The bachelor’s degrees in Bioengineering and Physiotherapy in the accreditation process
The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMCS) is currently immersed in the accreditation process for the following degree programmes: Bachelor’s Degree in Bioengineering and Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy. This process is described in the Framework for the Verification, Monitoring, Modification and Accreditation of official degree programmes (MVSMA) established by the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU).
On 25 April, an External Evaluation Committee set up by AQU Catalunya will visit UIC Barcelona in order to assess the degree programmes in situ. Specifically, the purpose of the accreditation visit is:
- To ensure the quality of the academic programmes offered, according to the levels of qualification established and the criteria of the regulations in force;
- To guarantee that there is viable and reliable information that would help users of the university system make decisions; and
- To facilitate the internal processes aimed at improving the quality of the programmes and services available at Catalan universities.
On the one hand, the self-report prepared and presented in the accreditation process is available to the entire educational community on the UIC Barcelona educational quality website Educational Quality. Anyone interested can read it, and if considered appropriate, make comments. Comments can be sent using the following email address: siqe@uic.es.
On the other hand, among the various types of planned audiences a public hearing will be held that can be attended by people who are interested in expressing their opinion about the development of process for the following degree programmes: Bachelor’s Degree in Bioengineering and Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy.
The public hearing will take place on 25 April at 3.00 p.m. in the P0A3 classroom on the Sant Cugat Campus.
