David Santana, alumni of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences, founds startup on artificial intelligence with José Sola

David Santana, a former student of the Master’s Degree in Data Science at the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences, has founded the startup Diip Artificial Intelligence. This new company will focus on the development of customised tools and artificial intelligence solutions for companies with the aim of improving their efficiency and performance.

Diip AI aims to revolutionise business operations and decision-making through customised AI solutions that focus on optimising processes and improving economic efficiency.

To develop custom tools, Diip AI analyses business processes and data with the help of advanced algorithms before providing useful and effective solutions. The startup will also serve as an auditor to examine which processes would benefit from an AI implementation. “We offer consultations to companies in the construction, logistics, finance, food, tourism, energy, legal and industrial sectors”, explained the co-founder.

The idea was born out of a collaboration with his partner José Sola: both have been developing their own tools to perform daily tasks more productively and efficiently. The startup has partnered with the construction company Certis to support these solutions.

The alumni values very positively his time at UIC Barcelona nurturing and developing the skills that led to the creation of Diip AI. “Without a doubt, without my time in the master’s degree in Data Science, this project would not exist. It is a demanding course, especially with teachers who are completely dedicated to this exciting world,” explains Santana.
