DigiRUR comes to UIC Barcelona to promote youth entrepreneurship in rural areas

Last November, a transnational meeting was held at the UIC Barcelona as part of the DigiRUR project between different universities and European institutions. DigiRUR is an initiative funded by the European Union that seeks to promote entrepreneurship among young people in rural areas of Europe.

The project brings together universities, research institutions and private organisations from several European countries, including partners from Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus, North Macedonia and Portugal. The project’s main objective is to provide a complete package of all theoretical and practical knowledge and skills needed to start a business in rural areas and thereby boost economic growth, balance demographics, revitalise local culture and society, promote sustainable development and improve the availability of services in these areas.

At the meeting at UIC Barcelona, project participants met to exchange ideas, share good practices and discuss the progress made in the implementation of the project activities.
