On Thursday, 14 September, representatives of the UIC Barcelona Faculty of Dentistry attended the 26th edition of the awards organised by the specialised journal Gaceta Dental, which brought together about 300 professionals from the dental sector in Madrid.
The awards, a reference in the dental sector, have the desire to publicly recognise the activity of dentistry professionals in their different disciplines. This year, there were twelve categories divided into four blocks: Professionals; Students; Innovation and Management; Society and Culture; and one special prize.
The latter went to the Conference of Deans and Academic Directors of Spanish Faculties and Schools of Dentistry (CRADO), chaired by Dr Lluís Giner, dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at UIC Barcelona. “On behalf of CRADO and UIC Barcelona, it is an honour to receive this award that symbolises the our sector’s recognition of the effort that all universities put forth to offer training based on excellence, scientific rigour and personal quality to future dental professionals,” Dr Giner said.
The awards, organised by Gaceta Dental, are supported by representatives of the main institutions in the sector, as well as representatives of scientific associations, universities and professional organisations and companies.
