Dr. Tanganelli Analyses Impact of Senior Management's Attitudes to International Business at EURAM Conference

Dr. David Tanganelli, a lecturer in the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences, took part in the 14th Annual Conference of the European Academy of Management (EURAM). The 2014 edition of the conference was held in Valencia from Wednesday to Saturday, 4-7 June 2014.

Dr. Tanganelli presented an article which he co-authored with two researchers from Ivey Business School in Canada, “Managerial Attitudes, Entry Modes and Performance of International Spanish SMEs”.

The study is based on a representative sample of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) working in industry that have had international activity since 2004. It examines how senior managers’ approaches to international business affect how the company enters new international markets and the company’s overall performance.

The EURAM conference is one of the most prestigious management conferences in Europe. More than 800 academic articles were presented at the 2014 edition, which was attended by over 1,500 researchers.
