Javier Solans and Anton Aluja, UIC Barcelona School of Architecture alumni and lecturer, organise the 3DSymposium
On 2 December, the 3DSymposium x WinnersDaily 23, an event promoted and organised by former student Javier Solans, lecturer Anton Aluja and 3D artist Aldo Garcia, was held in Barcelona’s MACBA auditorium This symposium, in which nearly 200 professionals from the sector from different European countries participated, has consolidated itself as one of Europe’s main forums on architectural visualisation
Under the title “Rise of the Machine”, the symposium explored the interruption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in the field of architectural rendering. Attendees were able to listen to presentations from leading studios and firms, such as Eleven (London), CommonPoint (Budapest), Brick Visual (Hungary), Prompt-studio (Barcelona) or Pureblink (Canada).
In these sessions, experts shared their experiences and reflections on the capabilities of 3D artists in the age of AI and concluded that success lies in making these technologies part of the workflow.
In addition to training sessions, the symposium became the stage for the Winners Award, the award for the best image published in the WinnersDaily architectural competition platform. The jury made up by Borja Ferrater (ELIA), Filipp Sadovski (Studio Pujol-Sadovski) and photographer Milena Villalba selected the winners of this first edition from more than 350 participants.
With the success of this edition, Solans, Aluja and Garcia established the 3DSymposium x WinnersDaily 23 as a benchmark in the convergence between architecture and cutting-edge technologies.
