The Joaquim Molins Figueras Foundation supports the Cuides UIC Barcelona clinic
The Joaquim Molins Figueras Foundation has made a donation to Cuides UIC Barcelona clinic, confirming its support to the Cuides UIC Barcelona project, the first university clinic in Spain specialised in advanced diseases and palliative care
Thanks to donations such as this one from the Joaquim Molins Figueras Foundation, UIC Barcelona can improve its work in supporting Clinic's patients as well as their families and caregivers, who find themselves extremely vulnerable and struggling when faced with the diagnosis of a potentially serious disease with a limited life prognosis.
Cuides UIC Barcelona is the first university clinic providing comprehensive care to patients with oncological and non-oncological disease, with symptoms that affect their quality of life and advanced diseases that require palliative care. Since it opened its doors two years ago, this Clinic offers quality and personalised care, always taking into account each individual's values and preferences, and addressing all situations that have an impact on patients and their families.
The Joaquim Molins Figueras Foundation is committed to transforming society and generating opportunities for personal, social and professional development for people. Under this premise, they are committed to social inclusion programmes and engage in social and business research. Since 2001, the Foundation has cooperated with different institutions and entities.
The Foundation's president and director, Joaquim Molins and Esperanza Molins, respectively, visited the UIC Barcelona facilities on Tuesday, 17 October, to learn first-hand about the Clinic. They were accompanied by Cuides UIC Barcelona Clinic director, M. José Casas; University Clinics manager, José M. García Navas; and Corporate Development director, Juan Pablo Garrido.
