José Nart, a professor in the UIC Faculty of Dentistry, gave the lectures “What Should Be Done During Implant Placement?” and “What Should Be Done in Case of Infection in Long-Term Care?” Prof. Nart said, “Peri-implantitis, an infection that affects about 20% of all dental implants, is a serious concern for dental clinics. Its prevalence is very high and the entire dental team should focus on its prevention and treatment”.

Besides Dr. José Nart, the symposium brought together other well-known experts in the field, who covered topics such as appropriate precautionary measures in the implant planning stage, implant placement surgery, prosthesis placement and maintenance planning for professionals and patients.
