Judith Soler Presents Treatment Using the Perfetti Method at New Therapy Conference

Judith Soler, a lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences' Physiotherapy Department, gave the lecture «Sensory Motor Training of Traumatic Hand Injury According to Perfetti» during the Physiotherapy Conference on New Therapeutic Approaches in Traumatic Hand Injury Rehabilitation, held at Asepeyo Hospital in Sant Cugat.

Soler explained how traumatic hand injuries can be treated using the Perfetti method. She started by briefly introducing neurocognitive theories, the Perfetti method and the instruments used for this method.

She then explained how to interpret traumatic pathologies according to Perfetti and proposed a standard treatment following this method. She also showed many examples of exercises and materials that can be used to treat patients.

After a short round of questions and answers, the lecturer invited those present to take part in a short 20-minute workshop to try out the exercises using the Perfetti material and even design new exercises.

The conference formed part of the 29th Traumatic Hand Injury Course. Conference on Functional Recovery. Traumatic Pathology of Upper Limbs. Physiotherapists and other professionals, such as rehabilitation doctors and occupational therapists, participated and gave lectures during the conference.
