'la Caixa' Communication Directors Form Panel for Final Advertising Projects

On Monday, 5 May 2014, fourth-year Advertising and Public Relations students presented their final projects to a panel made up of Pilar Buil, the Head of Studies of the degree programme, and communication directors from ?la Caixa', the organization for which the students created an advertising campaign.

The challenge was great. After a real briefing at “la Caixa” Foundation, the students had to create an advertising campaign that included all the steps in the process followed by real advertising professionals: research, strategy, creativity, media plan, assessment and, of course, the filming of the advertisement. While working on their projects, the students were guided by faculty professors Dr. Pablo Medina, Juan Alós, Ramon Piqué, David Escribano and Marta Salvat.

On the day of the presentation, the different groups had to defend their campaign and creative idea before a panel made up of Daniel Zafra, the Brand Director of CaixaBank; Montse Blanco, the Head of Advertising at “la Caixa” Foundation; and Pilar Buil, the Head of the UIC Degree Programme in Advertising and Public Relations. The panel assessed the final projects and agreed that the quality of the advertisements was very high. The presentation before the client was therefore a success. The faculty extends its heartfelt congratulations to the students.
