Anna Akhmedova, lecturer at the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences, taught a course on digital business on 20 June in the 2023 Summer School at the University of La Sabana in Colombia. The International Summer School of the University of La Sabana offers six courses to undergraduate students taught by external lecturers, including Anna Akhmedova.
The course merged different concepts and approaches from economics, strategic management, the Lean Startup philosophy, Canvas business model and design thinking.
The programme helped students to maximise the value and minimise the costs of creating, managing or participating in platforms such as Google, Facebook, Amazon, Apple, etc.
Akhmedova also talked about platform economics and their different types, consumer expectations, business strategies and models, and common mistakes in digital business.
More than 40 students attended the course and were able to choose an additional five courses: Big Data Analysis, Distribution and Logistics for Omnichannel Activities, Operations Management, Behavioural Finance and Sustainability.
