Maria Mut Attends Second Session of Populism and Democracy Workshop

Maria Mut Bosque, a lecturer in the Faculty of Law, took part in the second session of the Populism and Democracy workshop on Tuesday, 3 June 2014. The workshop was organized jointly by Pérez Francesch, a lecturer in Constitutional Law; the Institute of Political and Social Sciences (ICPS) of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona; and Barcelona Provincial Council.

Cesáreo Rodríguez Aguilera, a professor of Political Science at the Universitat de Barcelona, also took part in the workshop.

Mut’s contribution to the workshop was an assessment of the surge in Euroscepticism in the United Kingdom in the wake of the European Parliament elections held in May 2014. All the guest experts then took stock of the rise of this political option in different European nations.

Mut holds a degree in Law, a Master’s Degree in International Studies, and Post-Graduate Diplomas in Community Law and in Public Law and Political Science.
