The Master's Degree in Orthopaedic Manual Physiotherapy (OMPT) obtains international accreditation of the IFOMPT
This makes UIC Barcelona the first Spanish university to be recognised by the Ministry of Universities and the International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapists for a master's degree in Orthopaedic Manual Physiotherapy
The Department of Physiotherapy has obtained international accreditation from the prestigious International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapists Incorporated (IFOMPT) for the University Master's Degree in Orthopaedic Manual Physiotherapy (OMPT). With this recognition, the organisation accredits that the degree programme meets the highest quality standards in training manual therapy professionals, among which stand out the number of hours of clinical practicums that students does as well as the techniques that are taught.
This accreditation is recognition of the UIC Barcelona’s work and commitment to academic excellence and quality training of health professionals who, not only develop work practice centred on the person, but are also actively involved in research to offer evidence-based diagnoses and treatments.
With this international accreditation, students who complete the Master’s Degree in Orthopaedic Manipulative Physiotherapy at UIC Barcelona will have added value as professionals that guarantees they have received internationally recognised quality training, and it will open the doors to obtain a doctoral degree.
