The Faculty of Dentistry and Medicalfit have pooled their resources and experience in the dental sector to create the UIC Barcelona Medicalfit Chair for innovative solutions in rehabilitation of the oral and maxillofacial invalidity. The new chair will conduct research lines focused on implantology and restorative digital flows, as well as activities aimed at the continuous professional training in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery.

As part of the of UIC Barcelona Faculty of Dentistry, the new business chair is managed by Dr Miguel Roig, head of Faculty’s Restorative Dentistry area; assistant manager Dr Jordi Caballé, Faculty lecturer and researcher; and Dr Román Pérez, director of the Bioengineering Institute of Technology and head of the Bioengineering area under the Department of Basic Sciences; and coordinated by Dr Santiago Costa. 

As these leaders say, “the creation of the UIC Barcelona Medicalfit Chair is especially relevant since it will allow us to combine the most basic science with clinical application, thus developing innovative solutions and treatments that adapt to the needs of each patient.”
