«Momo» Wins Six Awards at Mutis V

«Momo: A Contemporary Tragicomedy», a play developed by the UIC's Barcelona Campus theatre group, has won six prizes at this year's edition of the Mutis V student theatre awards, which took place from Wednesday to Saturday, 14-17 May 2014.

In this year’s edition of the awards, almost a dozen groups from various Catalan universities were nominated across 17 different categories. The theatre groups organize the competition themselves, in collaboration with the UPC, UB, UPF and the UIC, along with the Catalan Federation of Amateur Theatre Groups.

Momo won in the following categories:

- Award for best set design
- Award for best lighting
- Award for best theatre group
- Award for best play
- Award for best lead actor, Lluís Torrelles, a second-year Audiovisual Communication student
- Award for best programme.
