On 1 and 2 September, welcome sessions were held for the international exchange students who will be studying at UIC Barcelona the first semester or the entire academic year
A total of 232 students from 35 nationalities participated in these welcome sessions. Among the countries with the highest student representation were Italy (55), Germany (34), Mexico (16), Chile (15) and Argentina (12). There were also students from Belgium, Austria, Canada, Korea, Colombia, France, Philippines, Lithuania, Norway, Singapore, Turkey, etc.
The sessions began on Friday with an institutional presentation day, both in Barcelona and in Sant Cugat, depending on each student’s area of study.
During the sessions that took place, academic and logistical issues were explained to resolve any questions students might have during their stay at UIC Barcelona.
Additionally, the session featured two workshops: “Catalan for Dummies” on Catalan language and culture, and “Meet your Buddy” to help students meet and get to know each other.
The next day, Saturday, students took a bus and walking tour of the city with official guides to learn everything they need to know about Barcelona.
