New Strategies, Management Tools and Scholarships at LINK© Day

The Vice Rector's Office for Academic Organization and the Teaching Staff (VOAP) once again organized LINK© Day, a conference that enables knowledge and experience to be exchanged between the teaching staff and the administrative and services personnel. LINK© Day was held on Wednesday, 26 February 2014, and was brought to a close by Vice Rector Jaume Armengou. It included presentations on six experiences of administrative personnel concerning new management tools and strategies for action, and a presentation on the UIC's scholarships.

The main objective of LINK© Day, which is organized by the VOAP, is to enable the exchange of experiences related to the conferences, seminars and courses attended by the teaching staff, the activities carried out by the services staff and matters related to degree programmes that may be of general interest. The event provides a good opportunity for departments and services to share activities and pool experiences.

At Wednesday's session, five speakers, the majority of whom were UIC administration and services personnel, presented experiences arising from their work, such as new management tools for potential students, for an intelligent building project and for the management of the University Dental Clinic (CUO). There was also a discussion on the strategy that should be followed by the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, and a presentation on the scholarships and grants currently offered by the UIC.

At the end of the conference, Dr. Victor Küppers gave a lecture on managing enthusiasm. The conference was officially closed by Dr. Jaume Armengou, the Vice Rector for Academic Organization and the Teaching Staff.
