The Professional Careers service is promoting Growing Together, a professional mentoring programme

The aim of the programme is to connect professionals with a more junior profile (mentees) with more senior professionals (mentors), all of them former students of UIC Barcelona, so that participants can improve their professional and personal growth.

The Professional Careers service is promoting "Growing Together", a professional mentoring programme that aims to support the professional development of younger alums. The service establishes a professional relationship from alum to alum, between a mentor, with experience, and a mentee, a former student with less experience.

The programme targets two different professional profiles, both beneficiaries of the project: first, more junior professionals who want to learn and grow with the help of a mentor in their professional career; and second, experienced professionals who can share their knowledge by acting as sources of inspiration and influence.

UIC Barcelona extends its training approach beyond the classrooms, accompanying its alums during their professional career. With the Growing Together programme, the university strengthens the connection between alums, creating a professional support network. Through this initiative, the youngest alums receive guidance, mentoring and various development opportunities, thus guaranteeing their growth and success in the workplace.

This service adds to the rest of the guidance options offered by Career Services, such as career guidance, training for employability and professional development or the Career Centre. Furthermore, the department organises more than 70 individual career orientation sessions for undergraduate, master and former students.

The Career Centre (the job board), which allows students and former graduates to easily access job offers and internships, published a total of 469,411 job offers during the last academic year, 727 of which were exclusive to UIC Barcelona.

The UIC Barcelona Alumni Department was created out of the conviction that the school's relationship with students should not end on graduation day. By launching programmes such as Growing Together, Alumni wants to accompany and help UIC Barcelona graduates throughout their professional lives.
