Three ESARQ Project Professors, Members of New FAD Board

Jonathan Arnabat, Miquel Lacasta and Tomeu Ramis, three Projects professors in the ESARQ School of Architecture, are members of the new Executive Board of the association Fostering Art and Design (FAD), which is now headed by Nani Marquina.

In March 2014, the designer Nani Marquina won the election for the FAD presidency with 69% of the votes. Her campaign promise was to lead an Executive Board that would make the FAD more multidisciplinary and international”. Besides making Barcelona an “international leader in design management and dissemination”, Marquina’s team hopes to expand the collection in the Barcelona Museum of Design, discover emerging design and support young designers.

ESARQ Projects professors Jonathan Arnabat, Miquel Lacasta and Tomeu Ramis are members of the new board. They are eager to take on this new challenge and hope to revitalize the FAD and make it accessible to future generations of local designers and architects as well as students. The new DHUB Design Hub building positions the FAD as a point of reference with an open view of design.

Prof. Miquel Lacasta said, “On a personal level, sitting on this board is a chance to expand design expertise by carrying out initiatives that help all those involved in creative pursuits in Barcelona go a step further”.
