Torrella Engineering & Architecture supports the talent of UIC Barcelona School of Architecture
The company reaffirms its commitment to talent with the renewal of the Josep Torrella grant, which it has awarded to the UIC Barcelona School of Architecture for the second consecutive year, reinforcing the University’s grants and financial aid programme. The objective of the grant is to encourage and support training in Industrial Architecture
Torrella Engineering & Architecture, the leading company in consultancy, architecture and engineering has once again renewed its collaboration agreement with the University, more concretely in the renewal of the Josep Torrella grant aimed at architecture students. This time, the grant was awarded to Alan Portugeiz Morales, an international student in fifth year at the school.
In addition to promoting studies in Industrial Architecture, the grant also offers the possibility of performing extracurricular work placements in the company itself. This means the recipient of the grant will be able to work with the entire team of Torrella architects and engineers on national and international projects.
This grant is named after Josep Torrella, PhD in Industrial Engineering and professor of Construction and Industrial Architecture at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Torrella Engineering-Architecture is promoting this grant as part of its “firm commitment to the integral training of the student”, according to the general director of the company, Goretti Torrella. This is another initiative that is part of the “No Talent without a Future” campaign, to promote access to education for talented students who have difficulties paying the cost of tuition.
