Two of the Papers Chosen in UIC's Forum UNIV Awarded in Congress in Rome

A group of Business Administration students won first prize for the paper «Free Market, Capitalism and the New Common Sense Economy» at the UNIV Forum in Rome on Tuesday, 15 April 2014. The winning students were Josep Maria Espina, Carlos Gramunt, Josep Maria Sauleda and Eduardo Campreciós.

Anna Maria Febrer, a medical student at the Universitat de Barcelona, was also among the eight finalists for her paper “Mothers and Children with Congenital Conditions”.

The UNIV Forum is a gathering of university students that the Istituto per la Cooperazione Universitaria (ICU) has organized in Rome since 1968. Each year, university students spend Holy Week in Rome, where they attend and participate in cultural encounters, congresses, conferences, roundtables, exhibitions and concerts. The activities provide opportunities to explore themes of specific relevance to the university community, with a particular focus on a spirit of service towards those who are most in need.

For the last five years, the UIC Faculty of Humanities has organized the local UNIV Forum in Barcelona, in which papers are selected for presentation at the forum in Rome.
