Two UIC Barcelona School of Architecture Alumni Selected for Barcelona Design Week 2014

Espai Rö, the studio started up by UIC Barcelona School of Architecture Alumni Efrem López and Adrián Jurado, is participating in 2014 Barcelona Design Week (BDW) with an exhibition of furniture and lighting by international brands curated by the digital archive Obsessive Collectors. The exhibition will be open to the public at the Espai Rö exhibition space from 2 to 14 June 2014 as part of the events for Off BDW.

The exhibition will be presented at Espai Rö on Tuesday, 10 June 2014. Daniel Pujal, an editor at Obsessive Collectors, will explain the philosophy behind the exhibition while Efrem López and Adrián Jurado will explore the details hidden behind each design piece. This exhibition combines architecture, design, art and communication. The selection will also be published by Obsessive Collectors and is supported by the Labóh communication agency.

Barcelona Design Week is an annual event organized by the BCD Barcelona Design Centre and sponsored by Barcelona City Council's Department for Culture, Knowledge, Creativity and Innovation. It brings innovation and creative industry professionals together at a number of different events.

“Design is Here!” is the slogan of the 2014 edition, which is being held from 2 to 14 June 2014. This year’s BDW will also include the fourth Barcelona Design Festival, an event organized by Fostering Arts and Design (FAD) and Barcelona City Council to put Barcelona on the map as an international design capital.
