Official Statement (03/11/24 - 19.39 h): UIC Barcelona declares flexibility measures on 04/11/24 due to mobility restrictions in several regions of southern Catalonia

Due to mobility restrictions in several regions of southern Catalonia, and following the recommendations of the Generalitat de Catalunya, UIC Barcelona has declared that it will implement flexibility measures tomorrow, 04/11/24. This applies especially to evaluation activities to avoid travel by students and teaching and research staff (PDI) residing in the affected regions: Alt Camp, Baix Camp, Baix Ebre, Baix Penedès, Montsià, Priorat, Ribera d’Ebre, Tarragonès and Terra Alta.

Because of the situation, the University has decided that:

  • Students coming from these areas can reschedule the 4/11/2024 classes in a manner convenient for their respective lecturers.

  • Teaching staff will postpone the evaluation activities whenever possible. In the event that this is not possible, students who cannot travel will be evaluated at a later date.

  • PDI and PAS (PTGAS) coming from these areas should contact their dean or service director to organise remote working.

UIC Barcelona is also asking the entire community to follow the recommendations issued by the Generalitat de Catalunya through the INUNCAT Plan at all times and via the official channels.
