UIC Barcelona celebrates 25 years at the Saló de l’Ensenyament [Education Fair]
UIC Barcelona participates one more year at the Saló de l’Ensenyament, the year it celebrates its 25th anniversary. Some 20 volunteers worked at the University stand’s from Wednesday to Sunday, 13-17 March, explaining University’s academic offer to the public and the distinguishing elements of each of its 16 bachelor’s degrees, 33 international double bachelor’s degrees and of all the postgraduate programmes offered.
The Saló de l’Ensenyament is one of the most important educational and training fairs in the country, which takes place at the Fira de Barcelona Friday to Sunday, with 220 exhibitors and a wide range of training and educational options. The University’s is located in Hall 1 (stand E-522) of the Montjuïc Convention Centre, where the academic training offer is exhibited: sixteen university bachelor’s degrees, thirty international double bachelor’s degrees, fifteen official master's degrees, more than 60 postgraduate and continuing education programmes and four doctoral programmes.
The Saló was officially opened this morning by the Minister of Education, the Hon. Josep González-Cambray, and the Minister of Research and Universities, the Hon. Joaquim Nadal. During the institutional entourage, the minister visited the UIC Barcelona stand and greeted the rector, Dr Alfonso Méndiz, who was able to comment on the University’s academic offer presented at the Saló, highlighting its commitment to simulation and teaching innovation, 30 international double bachelor’s degrees and the Bachelor’s Degree in Bioengineering, pioneer training in Spain, among others.
