UIC Barcelona School of Architecture Lecturers Carmen Mendoza, Pere Vall, Pablo Elinbaum and Isabelle Anguelavski Attend 6th International Research Seminar on Urban Planning
Carmen Mendoza, the Assistant Director of the UIC Barcelona School of Architecture and Director of Urban Planning and the Master's Degree in International Cooperation: Sustainable Emergency Architecture, and Pablo Elinbaum, a lecturer of Urban Planning and on the Master's Degree in International Cooperation: Sustainable Emergency Architecture, sat on the organizing committee of the 6thInternational Research Seminar on Urban Planning and served on the jury alongside School of Architecture Director Pere Vall. Isabelle Anguelavski, a lecturer in the Master's Degree in International Cooperation, also took part by reading a paper at the seminar, which was held on Tuesday and Wednesday, 16-17 June 2015, in Barcelona.
One seminar, two cities. After the first part of the 6th International Research Seminar on Urban Planning was held in Bogota on Wednesday and Thursday, 3-4 June 2015, the School of Architecture of Barcelona (ETSAB) hosted the second half in Barcelona on Tuesday and Wednesday, 16-17 June 2015.
Young master's, doctoral and post-doctoral researchers were invited to discuss their research progress in Barcelona (Europe) or Bogota (South America). Their findings test new analytical perspectives and case studies to promote shared knowledge on matters related to urban planning and land management.
The seminar was designed to allow students to reflect on urban planning research and generate discussion on the latest developments in urban planning and urban and regional transformations in Ibero-American countries. Participants analysed the characteristics of land transformation processes and the factors behind such developments.
