UIC Barcelona took part in the 34 Interuniversity Conference of the European Association for International Education (EAIE) held in Toulouse
The European Association for International Education (EAIE) is a non-profit organisation focused on educational internationalisation that organises the largest European congress on the internationalisation of higher education, which brought together more than 7,000 attendees in Toulouse this September
The International Relations Service of UIC Barcelona attended the annual conference on higher education organised by the European Association for International Education (EAIE), which was held from 17 to 20 September. The event brings universities from all over the world together with the aim of promoting the value of international education in the European region.
This year, over 7,000 people attended the conference, an all-time high in the history of the event. For the first time, delegates from universities on the African continent participated. This is why the EAIE is recognised as one of the most important global conferences on the internationalisation of education.
During the conference, UIC Barcelona took part in the Erasmus Without Papers Champions conference, organised by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture. UIC Barcelona was one of the two Spanish universities to be named as ‘EWP Champion’, thereby forming part of this project that promotes the digitisation of the Erasmus programme at European level.
EAIE conferences allow participating universities to strengthen relationships with partner universities and establish meaningful contacts for future collaborations. The next EAIE conference will take place from 9 to 12 September 2025 in Göteborg (Sweden).
