UIC Barcelona stands out for its comprehensive training programmes for good health professionals. The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences adapts the curriculums of its bachelor’s degrees so that future professionals have the necessary skills to respond to new models of patient care and changes experienced by the healthcare system and society. Accordingly, the bachelor’s degrees in the field of health that are taught at UIC Barcelona, such as that of Nursing, stand out for training that is specifically focused on the individual and their well-being, delivered in facilities where simulation and teaching innovation are key.

This was recognised by the digital journal ConSalud, a benchmark of the health sector, in the ranking it has drawn up which highlights the best private universities to study a bachelor’s degree in Nursing in Spain. UIC Barcelona is in the top 5. The journal explained that to prepare this ranking they analysed the main universities and educational models, positively appraising efforts to evolve with society and new technology.

Universities that have an educational model where innovation and research play a fundamental role were highly valued. This included institutions that integrate new technologies into their learning methodology; have up-to-date curriculums with international projection; allow students to do work placements within the campus, have a high rate of employability and high quality campus facilities.

UIC Barcelona ranks in the top 5 of the best private universities in Spain to study a bachelor’s degree in Nursing, together with the University of Navarra, the Alfonso X el Sabio University, the Pontifical University of Comillas, and the CEU San Pablo University.
