Verónica Méndez, new editorial manager of the magazine SIMZINE and new member of the SESSEP board of directors

With these positions, Verónica Méndez, current head of the University’s Comprehensive Centre for Advanced Simulation (CISA), will contribute to reinforce the visibility of UIC Barcelona’s state-of-the-art facilities and the important role of simulation in teaching within the healthcare field

In March, Verónica Méndez officially joined the digital magazine SIMZINE team as editorial manager in Spain. This is a leading international publication focused on promoting clinical simulation as a key methodology to ensure patient safety through training and continuing medical education (CME) for health professionals. From the new position, Méndez will give voice and visibility to the centres and professionals in Spain who work in clinical simulation every day.

During the month of March, the head of CISA has also joined the board of directors of the Spanish Society of Clinical Simulation and Patient Safety (SESSEP) as a member of the membership committee. SESSEP aims to promote health education by using clinical simulation in all its modalities to improve clinical safety and patient care.
