The 12th edition of the IMMA Communication Awards, held on Wednesday 11 May, filled the Aula Magna with young talent and the best audiovisual pieces created by UIC Barcelona students. The awards gala was organised by the fourth year Advertising and Public Relations students participating in the Public Relations Workshop 2 elective course. Journalist Martí Saballs acted as patron and in his speech, he reviewed the big events of the past twenty years and gave good advice to all students as future professionals of the communications sector. “Information now flows extremely quickly, and you will have to manage it and above all, fight to tell the truth,” said the journalist. “Wherever you are, read, read and read. Be informed. Listen. Travel. Leave your comfort zone. Do not be dogmatic. Defend your ideas. Work as a team. Stay away from the liars. Surround yourself with good people - we have to make this world better. Work a lot. And, above all, be happy,” Saballs concluded in his speech.
