How?
By volunteering for international projects or participating all year in the activities proposed below by Student Services - Solidarity.
Requirements
For participating in community volunteering (maximum 3 ECTS per academic year)
- Volunteer at one of the entities offered by the University.
Complete at least 25 hours distributed over one semester.
Credits are awarded according to the hours of participation:
25 hours = 1 credit, 40 hours = 2 credits, 60 hours = 3 credits
This volunteer project awards a maximum of 3 credits per year.
- Provide proof of your volunteer hours with a certificate from the entity.
- Submit a “Volunteer Report” (reflection on your volunteer experience). Word format. Minimum 300 words.
For participating in the solidarity activities we organise (maximum 1 ECTS credit per academic year)
- Accumulate a minimum of 25 hours participating in Charitable Getaways, Senior Birthday Project or UIC Social Day.
- Submit a “Volunteer Report” (reflection on your volunteer experience). Word format. Minimum 300 words.
For participating in an international volunteer project (maximum 3 ECTS credits per academic year)
- Attend project-specific training sessions.
- Volunteer for at least 20 days if you are wanting to validate 3 ECTS credits.
- Submit a “Volunteer Report” (reflection on your volunteer experience). Word format. Minimum 300 words.
