Specifically, UIC Barcelona ranks  46 out of 100 universities ranked globally and, nationally,  2 out of 3 universities ranked. In this edition, there are only three universities classified in this field; the Universidad Complutense de Madrid followed by UIC Barcelona and the University of Barcelona. 

In the field of Dentistry 491 institutions from all over the world participated, of which only 100 were classified, among them UIC Barcelona. The overall score received by UIC Barcelona in the field of Dentistry is 72.30 and the most outstanding indicator is “Appointments”, with a score of 93.5. 

In this edition of the QS-WUR by subject ranking, 55 disciplines divided into 5 major areas were analysed: “Arts and Humanities”, “Engineering and Technology”, “Life Sciences and Medicine”, “Natural Sciences” and “Social Sciences and Management” were used to rank 1,559 institutions in 149 countries. 

The QS-WUR by subject ranking analyses different areas and disciplines by reputation among academics and employers, and the amount and impact of their research. These indicators are recalibrated to adapt to each area and discipline individually, as research and publication may vary significantly between different academic disciplines.

In this 2024 edition, the QS ranking team analysed the reputation and research results of almost 5,000 global institutions, of which 1,559 have been classified in the 55 disciplines.
