Promoted by the University's Faculty of Dentistry, the main aim of the project is to provide oral health care to the most vulnerable groups and to encourage a transformative change among students through the UIC Barcelona University Clinic of Dentistry and the support of entities with a strong social commitment such as the Banco Sabadell Foundation

The University hosted the exclusive premiere of the documentary to coincide with World Suicide Prevention Day, with the aim of highlighting this cause and helping to raise social awareness

The researcher of the Department of Medicine, Pere Castellví, is leading the project to be carried out jointly with the Telèfon de l’Esperança (Telephone of Hope) initiative and which has the collaboration of Barcelona City Council and the Sant Joan de Déu Foundation. 

Cristina Lidón, researcher in the Biostatistics Area of the Department of Basic Sciences is leading the multidisciplinary group in which researchers from the Department of Medicine, the Faculty of Humanities and the Equality Office of the University are also participating.

The Nemesio Díez Foundation Grants for Academic Excellence in Medicine (BEA) are added to the UIC Barcelona grants programme for academic and professional excellence.

Four students of the 5th year of the Degree in Dentistry travelled to Melilla on 3 March as part of the Social Dentistry subject, taught by the dean of the Faculty, Lluís Giner. As part of a solidarity project, the students offered dental health care to people in vulnerable situations

On 25 January, Enrique Rovira-Beleta, a lecturer in the UIC Barcelona School of Architecture, presented the new Code of Accessibility during the event held to mark the end of the Accessible Commerce Without Barriers (CASBA) project, which took part at the Vil·la Urània Community Centre. Following the session by lecturer Rovira-Beleta, the students who took part in the project presented their proposals for improving accessibility. 

Students evaluated the level of inclusion of three public spaces in Barcelona in a workshop organised by the Master's Degree in International Cooperation in Sustainable Emergency Architecture (MICSEA)
