The conference addressed the application of intelligent biodigital systems in the world of architecture, design and art from three perspectives: research, teaching and professional practiceThe congress, held on 13, 14 and 15 November, brought together prestigious architects such as Marcos Cruz and Benedetta Tagliabue, who gave master classes.Over the three days, attendees were able to attend two round tables on teaching and practice in the biodigital era.

The POLIS project aims to help create solutions to overcome environmental and social difficulties in Latin America, through the creation of a specialised programme in urban planning. This European project involves universities in Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Portugal, with participation from UIC Barcelona School of Architecture researchers Carmen Mendoza, Marta Benages, Diego Navarro and research assistant Luzgélik Delgado.

Once again, the University consolidates its position in the international ranking of the best universities in the world, the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025 (THE-WUR)

As part of Barcelona's nomination as World Architecture Capital 2026, UNESCO and the International Union of Architects have selected 10 of the 439 proposals submitted that will transform blind walls into façades. The alums’ project, Azure, has won the competition in the Jardins de Marià Manent, one of the 10 sites in Barcelona that will be transformed. 

The School of Architecture of the University of Navarra, together with the ONESTA Wood Chair, promotes this international competition which rewards the final degree or master's project (PFC - PFM) that highlights the use of wood and the aspects of sustainability within an architectural project.

UIC Barcelona School of Architecture and Fundación RIA, the organisation established by the prestigious architect David Chipperfield, have reached an agreement to share experiences and knowledge.The collaboration seeks to transfer knowledge on territorial planning to the students of Architecture through a practical and cross-cutting course in the Association of Municipalities of Barbanza Arousa (A Coruña)

Researchers from different areas of UIC Barcelona have been included in the prestigious ranking of world scientists, “World’s Top 2% Scientists” from Stanford University, which brings 223,152 scientists together from 22 different areas.

The agreement sets out the cooperation of both entities in the development and implementation of scientific research programmes and projects in bioclimatic architecture.Healthy architecture and bioconstruction are based on the use of environmentally friendly materials that are natural in origin, providing the users of such spaces with good indoor air quality and thus a better quality of life.
