Once again, the University consolidates its position in the international ranking of the best universities in the world, the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025 (THE-WUR)

The scientific director of the “la Caixa” Foundation programme for the Elderly, Javier Yanguas, sponsored the students of the last year of the Campus of Experience. Chaired by Esther Jiménez, vice-rector of University Community, the event took place on 18 June, in the Aula Magna of the University

With the new centre in Bolvir, UIC Barcelona’s academic offer now covers the whole of La Cerdanya, a region with a rich history and natural landscape. The Experience Campus at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya is aimed at the over 50s and currently has 410 students at centres in Barcelona, the Penedès, Andorra and Calonge

A total of 36 students from the Experience Campus have participated in the Erasmus+ International Mobility Programme in Udine (Italy), Wroclaw (Poland) and Dublin (Ireland). In 2022, the European Union decided to open up Erasmus+ mobilities to students of university programmes for older people, although with shorter stays than the rest of students

Last month, the UIC Barcelona Experience Campus was present at the congress of the European Federation of Older Students (EFOS), in Liberec, Czech Republic. Within the framework of the conference, a joint declaration to work to protect the rights of older people was signed and presented at the UN

Once again, the University consolidates its position in the international ranking of the best universities in the world, the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024 (THE-WUR).

The City Council of Calonge and Sant Antoni sponsors a new territorial centre for the UIC Barcelona Experience Campus, an academic programme of the University aimed at people over age 50. The project was presented on 15 September, at the Calonge Castle, with 160 people attending. Classes will begin at this centre in October, and 66 people have already registered

Since 1 September, Dr Conrado Aparicio is the new vice rector for Research, Innovation and Knowledge Transfer at UIC Barcelona. He joins the University Governing Board and assumes the task of continuing to encourage the talent of UIC Barcelona researchers, promoting quality research, excellence and the transfer of knowledge to society  

Over the three days, experts and renown speakers have reflected on the human dimension of care and the values it brings to people and society, and have shared different experiences and initiatives that are being carried out in this area

Representatives of the Experience Campus of the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya have been to Brno as new members of the European Federation of Older Students at the Universities (EFOS). In the second capital of the Czech Republic, they shared experiences with different European universities
